Boerewors Sliders with Warm Tomato Salsa Recipe

Here is the recipe for   which the Klutz found on the Pick n Pay website. Ideal for any TV Sports watching party at ant time, have fun in the kitchen.

Serves: 4  – Cooking time: Less than 30 mins

Stuff to throw it together

  • 1 -500g pack Boerewors (Farmers Sausage), skins removed
  • 1 -glug olive oil, for frying
  • 1 -can onion and tomato mix, (400g)
  • 1 -tsp ground chili flakes
  • 1 -tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 -dash salt and milled pepper
  • ¼ -iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 2 -large gherkins, sliced (optional)
  • 1 -packet cocktail burger rolls, (12)

How to cook it up

Shape the sausage meat into 12 small patties

  1. Pan-fryin a glug of oil until golden and cooked through
  2. Drain onto a paper towel
  3. Heattomato mix and spices together in a small saucepan
  4. Season well
  5. Pilelettuce and gherkins onto rolls and top with patties
  6. Spoonover sauce and serve.
