A beautiful day in the African Jazz Capital – The City of Cape Town, which offers hope of good things to come, Braai’s (barbeques) spring to mind, which has really excited the Klutz in the Kitchen and yours truly. I’ve got to invest in a kettle braai, to install on my apartments balcony, this time I believe it’s the right thing to do, gas braais just don’t cut it at all. It’s the smoke and smell washed down with a great Craft Beer or a glass and a half of Pinotage to hand and the flavourful meat that makes it so worthwhile. The mission is now to find where the best place is to go to buy one at the best price, naturally. Oh I must talk to the body corporate chairperson first to make sure its ok to braai on the balcony.

On Friday around 11am C.A.T. we’ll have David Dondé in the studio to chat about coffee and the growth of the fast growing café society. David is an entrepreneur and founder of Truth Coffee Roasting and owner of the coffee emporium that has been named as the best coffee shop in the global village by The Telegraph in London. The Klutz in the Kitchen is a well known coffee lover but he has found that coffee has become horrible and mostly bitter scummy thing served in many coffee shops of Cape Town and around the country today.
